I’m doing pretty good so far this week. It’s amazing what taking control does for me. I can’t possibly have lost weight yet, but I feel thinner and when I look in the mirror, I see thinner. I have plans for Indian food with a friend on Friday, so I’m trying to keep things in control between now and then.

I gave in and bought a new scale on Friday, but it’s in its box in the linen closet right now. I decided to weigh once a month. I need to know what I weigh to accurately set my heart rate monitor for calorie counts, so it’s not realistic to not do it every once in a while. But I’m not going to obsess about it.
